The Bornean ferret badger (Melogale everetti), also known as Everetts ferret badger or the Kinabalu ferret badger, is a small, nocturnal[1] and omnivorous[2] mammal[3] that is endemic to the island of Borneo[4]. It is a member of the family[5] Mustelidae[6] and is one of five species[7] of the genus[8] Melogale[9]. It is listed as endangered[10] on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species[11] due to its small distribution range, which includes Kinabalu National Park[12] and Crocker Range National Park[13].

Bornean ferret badgers weigh up to 3 kg (6.61 lb) and reach a maximum recorded body length of 44cm (17.32 in). They forage on the ground for invertebrates[14], amphibians[15], insects[16], fruit[17] and carrion[18].
