I have an adult (7-8 year old) female Colombian Rainbow Boa that I adopted last year October. When I got her, she was being fed adult mice and was only slightly over 1,000g. Its really hard to find information about proper weight online, but I read somewhere that a female should be over 1,400g before breeding, so I figured she should be heavier that that.

I started her on 50-60g rats once every 10-14 days. She started putting on weight quickly. Now, almost a year later, shes 1,540g and is eating 70-90g rats every 14 days. Im not sure if shes gaining weight too quickly. shes gained nearly 50% of her body weight in a year and I dont know if its healthy for adult snakes to put on weight like that. Im still a pretty novice snake owner (just corn snakes and this girl), so any advice would be appreciated.
